Natisa is an accomplished young artist whose works draw a parallel between human experience and the creative process, often with the inclusion of text. Her depiction of the kite concept brings back her childhood memories.
To Jones, KITE is her favorite childhood play and has always been. Jones received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 2011 and began presenting her works in numbers of group and solo exhibitions. Born in Jakarta, Natisa sets her dream to bring Indonesia’s art scene to be more lively and highly appreciated.
“For me these mural works are aimed to introduce playful imagery with the decorative and buoyant elements of ‘kite’. To float, to be adrift, to express a space detached of anything too weighty.”
